Because of some statues resembling Tiki Tong's face and appearing through many levels of the Volcano world, it can be speculated that Tiki Tong has been the ruler of the Donkey Kong Island at some point in the past, maybe even before the Kongs making the location their homeland.Tiki Tong has a background music theme that is a rearrangement of the Krazy Kalimba theme with some sort of weird and ominous echo to it, adding to the intensity of the fight.However, after reaching the boss for the first time, regardless of whether or not Tiki Tong is defeated, the same transition screens in the Volcano world will now always depict the silhouette of Tiki Tong's head (see Gallery section above). Upon their arrival, he will have his minions throw all of the Bananas into his head, where he then blends them into a liquid which he spews on his minions, merging them into his hands. Tiki Tong ordered all the other tikis to steal Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong’s bananas from their hoard at the beginning the game.
